The Korean ferry disaster

Big digital screens on both sides of the altar showed cellphone messages sent from South Koreans nationwide. On a billboard outside, one mother had written, “My beloved daughter and son, I will carry you in my heart till I join you in heaven.”

Since you can’t really get away from this kind of news, figured I’d post up something here.  It’s a sad state when the crew tells people to stay put while they run to the lifeboats/get off a sinking ship. These guys need serious jail time.  It is essentially murder.

    1. Yeah, its one thing that is quite annoying here, all festivities are shut down, no extra-curricula activities at schools, for at least a month. They say its to try to keep things normal but cutting out normal activities seems not-normal though. That and its like 24*7 news reports on it too. Hardly something that will keep anyone’s spirit up…
