I try to portray Korea in a humorous/favorable light….

but sometime you can’t.

For example, these private expensive study schools, that many students are forced to go to by their parents, are not always the best environment to learn in.

Having a love of travel has lead me to move to South Korea in 2010. Moving to an Eastern culture from a Western culture is a wild experience and there is never a dull day!

    1. Sadly, Korea is a prime example of falling for the ‘capitalistic pill’ and very hard. Money is the only thing that counts here and it is a sad thing to see.

      1. Same in the US. I no longer ask why we don’t want to educate our children…there’s no money in it.

love it…”I can tell you all about Pythagorean Theorems.”

      2. Always loved that list.

It’s a problem of short term gains versus long term gains. I read this SciFi book where megacorps invested in developing whole planets with a return on the 100 YEARS scale, not some quarterly quick scam and get out method.

Netherlands has got a much better idea about education.
