College Board cancels South Korean SAT exams – Little Rock school rankings | Examiner.com

Well, this should be interesting.  Gonna be lots of talking over this!

For the first time in history, the College Board cancels the May 2013 SAT exams in South Korea. While exams have been canceled in the past, never before has a test been canceled for an entire country. CNN reported on May 10, 2013 that the decision to cancel the test was due to a widespread cheating scandal.

Having a love of travel has lead me to move to South Korea in 2010. Moving to an Eastern culture from a Western culture is a wild experience and there is never a dull day!

    1. The stress level is insane during those times. Now to be replaced with a different kind of stress. The stress was so bad that they added two days you write the exams…. the fallout should interesting.

      1. Agreed. I think in this way we may often lose the talented…what if Einstein had had to sit the SAT exams or Walt Whitman…or Van Gogh, how much poorer we would be.

      2. I like the story about Henry Ford and how the “learned” people tried to take him down a notch but he just called in people he knew who had the answer.
